A Business Festival EXPRESSO’14 was organised by the Department of Management Studies, Velammal Institute of Technology, Panchetti on 22nd November, 2014. The function was presided over by the Chief Guest Mr.K.Suresh President & CEO, India Cements Capital Ltd, Chennai. Principal, Dr. T.Chandrashekar of the college bestowed the presidential address. The programme was very well supported and coordinated by the Head of the Department, Dr. V. Muthu Kumar, staff coordinators and student coordinators of the Department.

The purpose of conducting this festival is to bring out the innate talents of the future budding managers, the managerial skills they will have to exhibit in a corporate scenario, the presence of mind they should have in a crucial decision making situations, etc. The performance of the students was evaluated by the panel of judges and experts.For these reasons, events like corporate war, Business Plan, Product Launch, Business Quiz and Best Salesman were conducted. The festival ended by Chief Guest Mr.K.Suresh distributing the prizes to the winners.
