REPORT ON ALUMNI MEET – 2019
Conducted on 16th February 2019
- Alumni Meet was conducted in Velammal Institute of Technology on 16th February 2019 in the college premises.
- S.Soundarajan, Vice Principal of the college welcomed the gathering.
- Balasubramanyan Krithivasan, Director-Engineering, SAP Labs Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore was the Chief Guest.
- M. Bala Kumar, Physical Design Engineer, Qualcomm India (P) Ltd and Mr. M. Ashok Specialist – System Developer, Verizon India were Guests of Honor for the function.
- Office bearers were selected for the Alumni Association.
- Star Alumni students from all the departments were selected and a memento was presented to them.
- Various fun activities were conducted for the alumni students by renowned Vijay TV anchor Mr. Jayachandran.
- Alumni Mr. Praveen and Mr. Ramkumar sung and did beatboxing in the event and received a loud applause from the audience.
- Few of the alumni spoke their nostalgic moments and shared their memories with their classmates and staff members.
- Alumni Association meeting was conducted along with the office bearers, Vice Principal, HoDs and Advisor.
- More than 250 students participated in the programme.
- R.M. Ravindran, Convener, Alumni Association, proposed vote of thanks.
- Delicious and sumptuous lunch was served to all the alumni students and staff members.
- S. Kaliappan, Academic Coordinator/Mechanical and Mr. G. Shanmugaraj, Associate Professor/ECE along with Mr. R.M. Ravindran arranged the programme in a grand and successful manner.
