Career Guidance Programme by Jayaprakash Gandhi on 15th April 2017

Chennai 15th April : A Career Guidance Programme for all the school students was organized by Velammal Institute of Technology on 15th April 2017. It was conducted at Velammal Main School, Mogappair, Chennai by the eminent ‘Career Guidance Guru’, Shri. Jayaprakash Gandhi. Dr. T. Chandrasekhar, Principal, Velammal Institute of Technology welcomed the gathering and spoke about the importance of taking decisions in the crucial period of every student’s life. Prof. K. Razak felicitated the Chief Guest with a memento. In the prime talk, J.P. Gandhi spoke about the contemporary trends in education and gave clear insight about the future career of the students. He gave detailed information about the college admissions for the academic year 2017 – 2018 with statistic inputs in all the colleges in and around Tamil Nadu along with its placement achievements in vivid detail. An elaborate PPT was presented to the audience with the comparison of cut off marks and eligibility of getting seats in engineering colleges, about NEET examination in medical sciences and other courses. After the end of the detailed and lengthy talk, the expert answered the questions asked by many parents and students from various schools in and around Chennai about selecting courses in their desired colleges. Dr. S. Soundararajan, Vice Principal, Velammal Institute of Technology proposed vote of thanks. Nearly 1200 people attended the programme and expressed their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the management for arranging a programme in the right time. The coordinator, Mr. Vijay Bharath, Assistant Professor, Information Technology arranged the programme in a grand and successful manner.
