ICA5NT 2024 focuses on Artificial Intelligence, 5G communication and networking technologies which are the three major research and emerging areas in current scenario. In recent years, Artificial Intelligence aims to create machines and automated technologies that can successfully simulate human intelligence. Artificial intelligence (AI) has been used in applications to solve specific problems throughout industry and academia. However, there is an
explosive growth in wireless mobile devices and services but there are still some challenges that cannot prevail over the current needs by 4G Technology. Researchers have started research on fifth generation wireless technology to meet increasing demand for high data rates and mobility required for advanced wireless applications. Further novel protocols, routing algorithm with cutting-edge results in networking systems covering contemporary and future applications will be discussed. This conference provides a conclave for experts to gain knowledge in three research fields to meet potential challenges and opportunities for future advancement.

But that’s not all – we’ve also got fun events to keep the energy high, with dance and solo singing performances that have captivate hearts this unique opportunity to celebrate the spirit of innovation and talent in a vibrant and entertaining atmosphere.
INSIGNIA’ 18
INSIGNIA’ 18, a National Level Technical Symposium was conducted by the Department of Information Technology of Velammal Institute of Technology, Panchetti on 11th August 2018 in a grand manner. Dr. B. Murugeswari, Head, Department of Information Technology welcomed the gathering. Dr. T. Chandrashekar, Principal, Velammal I Tech gave felicitation address in which he spoke about the opportunities and threats in IT industry in the contemporary age. Shri. Ajith Ugiprasad, Associate Director, CTS, in his Chief Guest address spoke about the benefits and growth in the IT industry in the future. The souvenir for the event was released by the Chief Guest along with other dignitaries. Various events were conducted to evaluate and motivate the students. Nearly 200 students from various colleges participated in the event and bagged prizes worth Rs. 50,000. Ms. P. Sailaja, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology proposed Vote of Thanks.
INSIGNIA’ 16
On 16TH July, 2016 A 5th National level symposium called INSIGNIA ’16 was organized by Department of Information Technology, Velammal Institute of Technology, Chennai. The event started with a welcome note of MS M Suchithra, HOD-IT with thoughts on motto of the event and its deliverables by welcoming the gathering. Ms Kalaiselvi Raman, Associate director (Insurance), CTS, was the chief guest for the event. The presidential address was delivered by Dr T Chandrasekhar, Principal, Velammal I Tech with emphasize on the need for acquiring latest technology skill set to match the needs of the industry. The chief guest was felicitated as a token of gratitude by the principal. The chief guest Ms Kalaiselvi Raman shared her thoughts on evolvement of technologies over time and how technology drives the current business processes. The chief guest also spoke about the trending technologies and their essentiality to acquire those skills which has its diverse career opportunities in coming days.

‘Insignia 2015’,A National level Technical Symposium was held at Velammal Institute of Technology organized by the Department of Information Technology on 8th August 2015. The opening ceremony was started with a vibrant quote by Miss.Nithya with the gracious presence of the Chief Guest Shri.V.Krishnamurthy, Director-In-charge of NIELIT, Chennai centre and Dr.T.Chandrashekar, Principal Of Velammal I.Tech. The auspicious occasion begins with lighting the lamp, all the dignitaries on the dais were requested to light the lamp. Ms.M.Suchitra Head of the Department delivered the Welcome Address, followed by Presidential Address, by Dr.T.Chandrashekar, Principal of Velammal I.Tech. The guest was felicitated by the Principal as a token of gratitude. Shri.V.Krishnamurthy delivered the Guest Address and lectured on Cyber Security which turned out to be an eye opening session.
MoU Signing and Workshop on React.JS and Node.JS
Workshop on Node.js and React.js has been arranged for third year IT Students for one day. This session is handle by Certified professional Mr S.K. Sanjay Raj, Managing Director for Reccsar Pvt Ltd, Network Security Specialist the research guidence are given to great session it was more interactive. Presenter has delivered an excellent presentation to the students.
Workshop on UI/UX Design
The One day Workshop on UI /UX Design for Final-year IT students, conducted by Mr. Sri Balaji Aravind Co-founder of Arjun Vision Tech Solutions, Chennai was interactive and informative. Practical sessions provided hands-on knowledge, enhancing students’ understanding of UI/ UX Design. Mr. Sri Balaji Aravind expertise and real-world insights added value to the learning experience, empowering students to create their own designs. The workshop sets the stage for students to explore career opportunities in UI/UX product design and other related fields making them well prepared for the demands of the digital design industries.

Value Added Course on AR/VR
The 5-day AWS Cloud workshop for third-year IT students, conducted by Mrs. Koushiya from Infinite Software Solutions, was interactive and informative. Practical sessions provided hands-on knowledge, enhancing students’ understanding of AWS services. Mrs. Koushiya’s expertise and real-world insights added value to the learning experience, empowering students to build scalable cloud solutions. The workshop fostered a deeper understanding of cloud computing concepts and prepared students for future challenges in the IT industry.
Hands-on Training on Full Stack Development
The Hands on training for Third-year IT students, conducted by the Department of Information Technology, with the support of a resource person named Mr.K.S.Balakrishnan from Capgemini Technology Services India Limited. The program started with the introduction speech by Dr.Deivendran.,HOD/IT. He gave a brief introduction about the chief guest and handed over the session to him. The main aim of the session is a pre-preparation for the upcoming on campus placement drive. The event’s goal was to build the students with required hands on training in an industrial oriented domain. Through interactive role-playing exercises, students had the opportunity to upgrade their technical skills. The ultimate aim of the training was to power up the student’s in entitle
them to excel in interviews and thrive in their future professional endeavors.
