PERSPECTIVE AND DEPLOYMENT PLAN

Velammal Institute of Technology, Panchetti was started in 2008 under the Velammal Educational Trust. The college is a non autonomous institution which is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and accredited by NAAC and NBA. The institute offers 7 UG programmes. Governing Council is the apex decision making body of the institute. It is constituted with members from Management, representatives of Management, Industry members, academic members and an ex-officio member. Governing Council initiates the formation of different committees which are decentralized to cater the needs of various departments.  Both the academics and administration is headed by the Principal with the team of Vice Principal, HoDs and staff members. The Governing Council meets once in a year and it decides various activities related to Academics, Administration, Finance, Infrastructure, Placement, Research, Human Resources etc for the betterment of the institute.

Other Committees include: IQAC, Training and Placement Cell, R&D Cell, Examination Cell, Grievances and Redressal Cell, Internal Compliance Committee, Anti Ragging Committee, Women Empowerment Cell, Institute Innovation Council etc. Human Resources (HR) Policy is tabulated for the benefit of staff members, which consists of recruitment process, procedures, benefits, norms etc.

The Institutional Strategic / Perspective plan is clearly articulated and implemented.

The following Goals of the strategic plan 2023- 2027 are to be implemented.
